can someone explain to me wat happens wen they get a court order to reposess my car its on hire purchase how long it takes them to get it and would the court come to some agreement
I think this has already been answered for you on several earlier posts Debra - there is no set timescale for the possession of the vehicle, and it is unlikely that the Court will intervene in a lenders contractual rights - but it might be worth a try if you feel you have a sensible offer to make.
In terms of a sensible offer: The court would look to have a quick resolution ie being able to repay the arears plus normal monthly payments within say 6 months max.
The District Judge would then potentially look at a suspended order which would mean any late payments or failure on your part and the lender wouldn't need to go back to court they would simply collect the vehicle.
If you have a history of not sticking to payment arrangements - the lender will sucessfully resist this.
Timeframes - Application to the court for a return of goods order is normally heard after 28 days and the District Judge will typically set a timeframe for you to return the goods ie 7 days.
I am sure you aware (from other posts) you will be liable for all collection costs, arears, court / legal costs plus any shortfall when the vehicle is sold at auction.
