Hi, Haven't posted for a few weeks- mainly due to nothing exciting happening!
I am still struggling to find work-I am now looking local which means I will be taking a 50% paycut from what I was getting in the city.I have applied for a local job I know I would love so keeping my fingers crossed....
Local jobs however are still a struggle to find.
My creditors on the whole have not been too bad- had a couple threaten to send people round in person( I called today to say I could stretch my token payment to £20 this month and they refused to take it! Oh well......
My problem is I am not sure how long I can keep putting them off- considering I started the process in october. Plus with a big paycut im not sure how much will be spare to offer in an IVA payment
It just concerns me with B/R that people would know and that it could massively effect my chances with regard to employment especially if I went back to the city to work in the financial world. Not to mention finding £495!
I never did see a penny back from Bondpartners from what I paid-nightmare!
One bit of good news is a friend of the family has a lovely cottage they are willing to let me have and would be covered by housing benefit- it would make a huge difference to my motivation and morale to have my space back-family have been fantastic but living in the spare room is driving me slightly crackers to say the least!

Stressed1, I am so sorry that you haven't yet managed to find a job, good luck with this application, I hope it works for you.

Good luck with the cottage as well, that sounds lovely and an ideal situation.

With bankruptcy, it will affect jobs in the financial sector, but people don't have to know about it (unless they scour the small print in the local papers!).

If you get this job, perhaps it would be time to have a chat to another IP (one that doesn't charge you!) to see what you can do.

You will have to decide what to do soon though.
