A DMP in my opinion is for a short duration - no more than as a maximum 18 months. I would prefer 6 months - then try for an IVA. It is advisable to speak to an IP experienced in both DMPs and IVAs who will be able to advise you on the most appropriate solution depending on your circumstances. I am aghast that you have been in a DMP for 9 years! Speak to an IP asap - visit www.iva.com and see references from a number of them. Let us know how you get on.
