I am disputing DFD's statement that I signed up for a secured loan. I know I did not.

Thank you all (Kallis3, Foggy, Michael Peoples and Lisa Thomas) for your invaluable advise and assistance at such stressful time.

After the complaints and to their credit for prompt response DFD contacted me today and have said my IVA will be extended for 12 months. I am much relieved with the outcome.

One can't place any value on the invaluable advice you all provide on this forum. Hopefully that is the end of it and I will carry on paying for the sixth year.

Well done in persevering with this Jabir, I couldn't have added anything different to the great advise you got so decided to say nothing. At least it wasn't an insurmountable issue that was going to continue to dominate your IVA "experience".

More bullying tactics used though.

A very disturbing trend.

Someone without the back up of this place may well have felt pressured into the secured loan.

Disgusting behaviour.

Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

I'm now worried too. I've just had a letter regarding a secured loan from select. My report states remortgage or 3rd party. My iva started in 2011. We do have around 20k equity & have also paid in additional funds of almost 12k from ppi. Taking our repayments from 15p in £1 to 56p in £1 including additional payments & increases. We really don't want to go down the secured lain route
End is in sight #128512;

You may not even qualify for a secured loan especially if the loan to value is high. Select will usually let you know if it is even possible and that avoids the need to get unnecessary rejections from mortgage lenders.
