How does Equifax work? Several of my debts have been sold on but neither the original creditor nor the company that bought my debt is listed. Also one of the creditors that has not been sold still shows the full amount at start of Iva even though 4 years payments have been declared on annual reports.

Hi,

I wouldn't worry about them not being listed and the other creditor should drop off at the end of six years.

Also check Noddle and Call Credit (both free) to see if there is anything showing on there. Credit agencies are a law unto themselves. They can all show something different.

Hi

Balance will show as it is until the debt is written off after the IVA concludes.
The original creditor/debt should show but may be registered at Experian rather than Equifax. The company purchasing the debt will not report to the credit agency, however if there is a subsequent CCJ this will show

Thanks for the advice. I also registered with Noodle and found all of my original debts listed with current balances which have been reducing as the IP paid dividends every quarter.
