Your post is the first I looked for this morning, as I didn't have time to log on last night.

Happy for you, very happy. x

So happy for you.

You can now put the whole thing behind you.

Fingers crossed it won't take 6 months to close

Great news. 6 months is the maximum before a complaint can be seriously considered by the Gateway against an IP. Up to 6 months is sadly, considered reasonable.

Keep the pressure on your IP to close quickly.

Glad you got there in the end after all the heartache.

Thank you again for all your messages [:I]

My friend has been and paid the money to DFD today, so that's a little less stress in my life. I think I owe her a bottle of red [:)]

Hopefully it won't take as long as 6 months to get the CC and DFD will act promptly and resume some faith in current and future customers.

I would hope knowing the issues and stress this has caused you that DFD through Laura would be able escalate the closure for you. If it were me I would enquire in a months time and monthly until its received.

Update [:)]

Phone call to DFD this evening, asking for confirmation of monies paid to them on the 12th May.

Yes they have confirmed they are in receipt of the money and it's been referred to their closure team to close the account asap.

The man on the phone (at DFD) said it was up to them now at DFD to sort this out and to send me the closure certificate. [:I]

So I will sit back and wait and give them a call next week. X

Great to know monies received and now with closure team....I would have them on speed dial and would set a weekly reminder to ring and chase them for this ....

Laura from DFD ..if you are reading this surely this customer deserves a prompt closure following the distressing time and prolonged period of waiting to get to this stage ?

Well guess what....

I've received a phone call this evening from EE asking to speak to my husband. To which I said pardon, he then repeated he needed to speak to my husband to ask him why he had cancelled his account with them.
I replied I think you need to check on his account and you will see he passed away last November. He replied yes mam that's why I need to speak to him to ask him why!!!!

To which I replied he's bl**dy dead how can you???

I then said goodbye and cut the call grhhhh

How insensitive can some people be???

I think a complaint is in order there, that is despicable. I hope you're ok and not too shaken. Wherever do they get their telephone representatives from you have to wonder.
