[:)] well after 6 years 1 month 2 weeks and 5 days had the best phone call this afternoon to say congratulations your debt free[:)][:D]

We should receive our cc in a few days!

We started out with Blair endersby then transferred to GT and most recently to Aperture.

We have our ups and downs had our I&e miscalculated for 4 of the years and refused our over payments back been handed out a breach which was incorrect and we where told various reasons for the breach no of which existed!

Although last September our car blew up and we managed to get finance through money barn with permission from our IP.

I contacted them once Iva complete and was told still needed a final review (approx 8 weeks) before our case would be passed onto closures (6months) I had a melt down on the phone tears of frustration in adding another 8 months of being in iva etc...........was passed on to customer complaints department and spoke to a girl called Debra who listened to me sob my heart out re frustration and needing this Iva to conclude due to health issues ( also had a life threatening illness resulting in 8 months off work several weeks on life support then major surgery and hair loss in year 5&6 of Iva) she promised to get things moving for me and gave me her personal contact number to give her a call for update........... Was going to call her mid Jan but she called today to say our case is closed cc is in the post!

Thank you all here who give advice and support this forum has been a godsend!

Now how do I go about clearing my credit files??????

Some defaults have already dropped off but others still showing.

Thank you and good luck in your Iva journey X X

Great news and what a good start to 2016!

Unless defaults added after start of your iva I would simply let them drop off themselves. You have been through enough .. just enjoy life x

Brilliant news kaza - really pleased for you.

You need to contact those creditors still defaulting you and enclose a copy of your completion letter when you receive it and tell them to remove defaults back to when the IVA originally started.

Hi Kaza - what a rollercoaster you've had. Sorry to hear you've been unwell. Massive congratulations to you for finishing - great start to 2016. I've created this short video guide which might help with the credit files -

Thanks Lisa I will take a look.

Most defaults have dropped off already have two that will drop off this month but still 4 not until March so want them clearing off so I can rebuild my rating ( just incase my other car goes boom!)

This forum has been a great help through the dark days if Iva!!
