HELP I completed my IVA in January 2014 and had a certificate, I was asked to agree a modification to allow PPI to be claimed by Grant Thornton for my IVA but that interest would be paid to me I have received letters confirming that I have been paid PPI and this has gone directly to Grant Thornton now Aperture I am told on the 19th I have the figure of interest but Aperture don't respond to calls or e mails I had terrible service from Grant Thornton and thought my IVA completion was the end however now I don't know what to do to recover what I see is my money having struggled for 6 years to pay off my IVA.
Is there any advice or should I contact citizens Advice or a solicitor I don't imagine that I will get a full refund but the interest I believe should be mine is this normal and PPI seems to be a real money earner for IVA companies so beware as it appears the iva never ends in reality

It is not standard practice to allow you to keep interest, but was a tactic used by GT to get people to sign up to new terms. Don;t get too caught up in pursuing big figures -- what they promised to pay was the figure after costs. I am told they deduct the claims company fee and then their 15% (which I feel they are not entitled to).
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

You will end up with about 33% off the interest after fees

It took about four months in my case to receive the cheque after I had forwarded the PPI cheque to them. When I received it it was a fraction of the interest due to me. A third is about right
*IVA started Sept 2010
*Last Payment Taken August 2015
*Completion Certificate Issued November 2015

I email GT a few weeks ago about this as we are expecting some back as well. They stated in there reply that there were 6,000 awaiting and that they hoped to clear the backlog in the next 9 weeks. I will believe it when the cheque lands on my doormat.

If they are not answering your calls take 10 minutes to send them an old fashioned letter instead. Mention in it that you will be making a formal complaint if they do not respond satisfactorily within 7 days. Send the letter via recorded/registered post.
