Freeman jones suddenly stopped taking the money for my monthly payments from my account. The money is still set to come out as the direct debit I set up 5 years ago, however when. The date for payment comes, nothing happens. I emailed them but had no reply. I have had numerous so called money managers who have also never replied to any correspondence apart from to send back my monthly payslips. I'm getting really worried that I'm going to be accused of defaulting on my iva. Is there anything I can do to find out why my payment t-shirts are not being taken?

Hi and welcome,

Was your IVA a five or six year one? If it was five years I imagine it would have finished. When was the last payment taken out?

I would phone them rather than email or write and insist on speaking to a supervisor at the very least and failing that, try the IP.

If there is no equity and no arrears you may have paid everything and you may be with the closures team.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

My payments stopped when I hit the five year mark. We had an additional year to go that wasn't stipulated in the original agreement. Called them, paid the difference and the direct debit was reinstated. Hope this helps.
