If you mean the completion certificate it should be 3 to 6 months depending on the iva company.
Iva completed, CC received June 2014!

Some firms take a few weeks, some 6 months !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

It does vary from firm to firm. My advice is wait 3 months then ring and chase fortnightly until received
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !

I take a couple of weeks but understand from this forum that other firms can take months. Keep the pressure on them and chase them up regularly.

2 years 4 months since my last scheduled payment was made on an IVA started in 2008, still no CC from GT. GT are now quoting an estimated 6 months to close an IVA and in their words could be lees than that could be longer. So for GT it seems to be how long is a piece of string when trying to get an accurate update.

soclose that is appauling of GT. I would go through their own complaints procedure and then to the financial ombudsmen.
There's more to life than money....but it does help!!

64 payments made. Full and final with payments made to date accepted on 26/05/15 :-) completion certificate received 17/06/15 :)

Just as i thought it couldn't get any worse. Today i got another batch of Letters of Authority to sign and return to allow GT's new claims company to investigate PPI. This 2 years after signing the same letters for EIC so looks like the PPI is starting all over again. Will this ever end?

I thought my situation with GT was bad, but just read a post where the person is now in month 96 and still no closer to completion with GT. I will not be letting GT get away with this much longer.

Called GT to ask for an update on my IVA closure and have been told that my case was only past to the closure team at the end of April this year and it is in the review stage. When i asked what stage of the review process my case was at, they couldn't tell me. I asked if they could find out if i was at the start of the review, or half way through or if they could give me a rough idea how long a review takes. The person i was speaking to then got very angry and just kept telling me that he had already told me several times that the case was in review and that was the update and nothing i said would make any difference to his reply. Really good customer service GT well done.

Complain - sounds like the only way these days that GT will take notice.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

You are looking at six months from when the closure team got the file.

Unfortunately it's no longer 6 months with GT They are now quoting an estimated 6 months and, when i told the adviser that i would start a complaint at the 6 month point, I was told it wouldn't make any difference. I was told they would respond to the complaint saying I was told an estimated 6 months and if it got to that point then my case was taking longer than estimated.

Then go straight to the insolvency service.

That was someone making it up as they go along and playing yes minister!
