So this morning I received a cheque for ppi, I was expecting this to go straight to the iva(or the company thats dealing with the ppi), I think the reason its come to me is because this particular ppi was from a loan paid off long before the iva started and hence was not mentioned in the iva.

what do I do with this cheque now?? cash it and pay into my iva? or send cheque? really dont know?

If nothing else the claims company dealing with this will be wanting their commission. As for the balance some (increasingly few) IP's allow you to keep refunds from old loans, so I would speak to your IP and ask him / her what they want done.

Ah, you are with one of those companies with a phantom IP ! I am afraid the messages will have to be relayed via an admin staff member.

Pay it into your IVA as soon as possible, it will go a long way to showing your IP that you are open and above board with regard to income etc.

Do nothing until you have confirmed by email or letter, exactly what they want done with it.

No comeback whatsoever at that point.

It's clear to me, you borrowed the money therefore you should do everything possible to pay every penny back of the full original amount and not try to find ways and points to keep any of it

As you are in an IVA hand it over.

Different matter if CC issued and if PPI was never a consideration.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

I'll email them and ask what I should do, didnt expect to keep any of the PPI money and yes it should go in the IVA, I am not trying to wriggle out of paying PPI to my IVA,

its strange that the cheque has come to me and is in my name and not gone straight to the CMC, as my other PPI claims have done

The last thing they should do is send a big cheque the likes of me! lol

I would wait to speak to your IP. As it comes from a previous loan I'm not sure how you would stand

I hope they let you keep it :-D
IVA started Aug 2012
F&F agreed 7th September 2015
CC received 4th March 2016
