Hoping you get the gift you want very soon (insolvency register) and so long as the card is paid off in full every month the APR is really irrelevant as you'll never acrue any interest.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thank you Lesley. Its been a difficult few years, be great to start the new year a fresh.
Yeah Hubby said about how high the APR was but I said the same as you, we don't intend on having to pay interest so it shouldn't make any difference. Possibly a good thing, if it was low percentage I think we would be temped spend on it more.

You want creditcard with perks ....not 'good' credit limit..so no thanks vanquis.
Storyboard..before iva,I had £11,000 credit on an egg green mastercard.Wish I hadn't....I clocked it.
Now just want cashback reward, long long 0 per cent purchase, maybe balance transfer. That excludes Vanquis card etc

Tzekin ... as said before Vanquis is absolutely fine for those who want a small credit limit which will be paid off each month in full.... not everyone is ready for cash back rewards based on using your card in lots of different places each month.
Each to their own.
Jules ... hubby has Vanquis and it works for him and helped his credit rating.

You can have just 500 pounds on any brand of creditcard if you want.Vanquis are OK if you are in dmps or iva,if allowed. No problems.
But after an iva it is back to the banking service norm and perks.Or likewise do you still use a basic bank acccount?
The aquas and vanquis credit cards are there for the bad credit market as the wonga loan market.
That is why vanquis creditcard exist as why wonga loans exist.Indeed and it has its clienteles.
Cashback spending incentives on credit cards are like tesco club card points for been a loyal customer....a Thank You.We deserve it.
Vanquis card(exorbitant interest) gives you back nothing for been loyal. So why use it unless you have to.

I see Vanquis as a stepping stone to a mainstream card with lower APR(although I don`t intend to borrow again !) or 0% interest .

Nothing wrong with Vanquis card if used correctly.
Personally, I never want to be 'tempted' with 0%apr cash back etc. Ever again. It was offers like those, coupled with my lack of discipline, which got me into bad debt.
I feel lucky to have the Vanquis card during the iva, as it makes my life that much more convenient.
My opinions are just that: Based on my experience and being a self-employed IVA customer.

I received 19 pounds from my creditcard provider today as a reward having used my c card for only 6 months spending on average only 150 pounds on it per month.
A nice treat for been loyal.
Certainly welcomed....
