I can’t believe that a person from Credit Fix actually visited you! It’s good to see them gallivanting about trying to drum up more fees than in the office answering enquiries from new/worried customers who have been recently sold out.
Good luck with what you choose to do.

Hopefully the DMP goes well and it sounds like you are much happier. It is never a good idea to rush anyone into something as serious as an IVA as it is a lot to grasp when you are frightened and vulnerable.
A DMP will give you flexibility while you decide what is the best route to take later- if you need to change at all.

I did my research before entering into my IVA with PJG and now ended up with Creditfix by default and any search I have done on this company they do not get good reviews . Like you ridingthestorm I am not looking forward to my 1st review, and a bit angry what has happened.
Yeah me too... Though my 1st review happened just before the transfer.
I guess I'll find out in a year what's going to happen.
Can't speak for their new business, but they are bound by T&Cs of any existing IVA they bought.
not the thread i wanted to be reading!!! Home visits?? omg! they better not want to do home visits for reviews and that guy sounds like a complete arse! glad you got out while you could...unlike some of us who are trapped with them #128531;
Am i glad we finish our iva in 2 weeks, the more i hear about CF the more i worry, ive said on another thread this sell off annoyed me as i did,nt choose CF to be my IP, the above comments prove why.

What's so scary about home visits?
I don't particularly want one but if they do one at least I've got a captive audience to quiz and get the answers I want.
They are not debt collectors, they're not trying to take your TV away.
there will be many people on this forum who enter into an IVA company thinking that that company is the right 1 for them and are 100% happy and end up feeling the have been screwed over 2 years down the line and and wish they had never join to company.
And there will be many who were not sure, who felt they were making a mistake and joined the company anyway and then 2 years down the line think, i'm so glad i join this company, i don't know i a was so unsure at the start.
if i were you i would look into the company's background and reviews and make a decision based on the facts. what has the company done for their clients? what don't they do for their clients? what can they do for their clients? what cant they do for their clients?
i just dont like the idea of a stranger entering my home to discuss my finances and potentially scruntinise my home/belongings. Theres no need in my opinion to visit me in the privacy of my home and i expect other people would feel the same. There has never been a need for anyone to do this and i dont see why theyd need to now. Thats my personal view. I am rapidly going off this forum as there seems to be much more judgement than there used to be and no longer feels the supportive network it used to be.
Hang on in there Abbiesmum. The problem at the moment is that a lot of people are worried, frightened and angry at recent changes and are possibly a little snappier for it.
Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
I know how you feel, and I would say that there is no way they can force you to accept a stranger in your home. Would it be possible, if they insist on a face to face to meet at the local library or similar.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
I agree with Foggy and the home visit related to a first meeting and not reviews. There is uncertainty but hopefully over time these things may well prove to be unfounded concerns but we will have to wait and see.
Abbiesmum. Your input is invaluable and do not be put off the forum as overall it is an excellent support network.
Its time more than anything. me snd hubby work full time. He works 6 days a week I work 12 hour shifts. We have one day a fortnight off together. Arranging a meeting would be hellish to organise as well as running around after 3 children. Im gonna take a break from the forum though and see what happens over coming months.
Please don't let this put you off seeking help if you need it. I am dealing with a fab company called Vincent Bond now and it's all dealt with via phone and email. They truly have helped me and put my mind at ease.
I'm sure there are many companies that can help you and do things the way you wish.
This forum has been invaluable to me and I hope you don't vanish.

That is exactly what a lot of us did. Researched/did our homework and chose a company who were very well spoken of and performed exceptionally well. A company who you felt had a personal touch and treated you as a human and not a number. I am of course talking about PJG.
Only to be sold on to a company who allegedly:
Make cold calls
Ask for 2 months up front as fees for new cutomers
Claim they are a very large company
Make home visits
Ask for up to 6 months bank statements for reviews
Have no forum presence
And probably the funniest of all is a thread on here along the lines of ‘Any one used Credit Fix?’ with the person who sold us on giving advice in the thread that if you don’t feel happy with them, don’t go with them.
