Well after a good first 6 months our lives have taken a major change.
First we had to move due to our last naighbours harrasment, agression and threats and our local police and anti social teams inability to want to get involved of fear it may make it worse we then got a massive reduction in our ct and housing benifits, giving a rent increase of 55 a week and a ct of 87 a month.
To add to this my employers car rental system as ended and i have had to add to the bills by putting a car on the road and my employer as told us that there will be no work from mid jan untill march. (The joys of 0 hour contracts).

I have been working 12 -13 hours a day as well as 8 hours on sat and 6 on sun just to keep food on the table. i contacted payplan by mail mid last month before the payment was due as i knew then there was no way i would be able to make. i have mailed twice since and have so far receive no response....... Up to this payplan have been brilliant but for some reason its like they vanished

I am sorry to hear about all the changes going on.

I am presuming that they are inundated with work. I would either email my IP direct (setting a read receipt indicator if you can) or send a recorded delivery letter just for peace of mind.

At least then you can prove you have tried to contact them.

I do hope things pick up soon. Have you considered going to a Foodbank? I am manager of one in the SW and your circumstances are just what qualifies for assistance.

I find with payplan the best way for communication is to phone and ask for an appointment with my case worker.

Can take upto a week but have always kept to the appointment in my experience.

Stop paying the IVA if you cannot afford the payments. Tell Payplan what you have done and see if they an help. They are funded by the banks and should be able to help and return calls.

I have to say that as much as I would never recommend Payplan to anyone they have always replied to emails.
I can't call during their ridiculously limited opening hours but find if I email & state that'if you are unable to answer my query I expect a response from my IP, as is my right' then I usually get a reply within 24 hours!
