After having my f&f accepted DFD have contacted me asking me to sign a Deed of Assignment. I actually did this in December 2013 as a change in terms of my IVA, which they now say they can't find, and are sending me another to complete. The problem is it has to be witnessed and no-one knows that I'm in an IVA. In Dec I got my team leader to witness it as he had a relative that was in an iva so understood what it was. I'm no longer working and in touch with him, so how the heck do I get this witnessed? I thought maybe my building society manager? Any ideas
/suggestions people?
It appears you are not alone ... a number people are being asked to do another one ... it isn't fair! You could see if your lovel jobcentre will witness it if you take ID in ...some will some won't.

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
I think the poster's name may have provided Melanie a clue! She was probably double checking in case it was local to someone who could witness the signature.
I think the post office can be used to witness signatures but if you have to pay it might be worth sending DFD the bill and asking for it to be taken from your next payment. They did lose the first one so you should not be out of pocket.
