My boyfriend has asked me to marry him and hopefully will tie the knot next June,, money permitting!!!! How will this affect my iva? Thanks.

Many congratulations and do not think the IVA will have any affect. You will need to notify your IP of any change of name/address and perhaps you may need to do a new income and expenditure if that changes dramatically. Otherwise there is nothing to be concerned about and very best of luck.

Hi Emma, you should note that if you become financially linked, ie. get a joint bank account. This may affect your future husbands ability to get credit. I would stay financially separate until the IVA is over and drops off your credit file

What fabulous news for you Emma - as others have said an IVA does not effect these happy events from taking place - are you already living together and if so presumably your current expenditure is shared in any case?
