Hi, I have a question about certificate of completion. My iva was started in April 2007 with my ex partner. After we separated my ex carried on making monthly payments as I was in no position to pay anything. It would have been completed in 2012 - i didn't receive a certificate of completion and I have moved since then. What can I do to get my certificate of completion? I've spoken to my ex about it and he says he can't remember if he got one or not, so he's not really being helpful. It's not been 7 years since the iva started and i checked call credit yesterday and the iva is still down as "active" on there and i want to correct this.

You will need to speak to the firm representing you to establish at what stage your iva is ... if all has been concluded then they should be able to provide a copy of the certificate
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !

Thank you. Is there any particular department or person I need to speak to? I'm with Grant Thornton.

Try ivacustomerservices@uk.gt.com
or iva.closures@uk.gt.com

They are notoriously slow at responding, although they usually do so within 10 days.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Thank you ever so much, I have just e-mailed them. Hopefully I can get a copy of the certificate relatively soon.

I have just checked with equifax and everything on there is down as either up to date or settled which is great but under "date satisfied" for the iva, it's blank. At least i know the other things are up to date.
