Don't waste time thinking about it.
DO IT GET HELP/ADVICE !
It is a long road but hopefully be worth the trip...

Keep paying your mortgage (if you have one), phone contract and Melanie does give great advice on rebuilding credit files, I'll try and find the link for you.
