I have successfully completed my IVA and had my completion certificate last month . I even completed it 12 months early so that's good news.
Everyone mentions Ryan to talk to about getting a mortgage with my wife .
I currently have a house which I rent out so was lucky to be able to keep it but don't think RBS will give me more money for a another property.
I will sell this property to give me about £25000 deposit and want to buy a house for about £180000. Any help much appreciated

Also try Shaun Vickery, of the Select Partnership, who I can personally recommend.

Both Ryan of Zebra Money and Shaun as Mel recommends are both forum members who have experience of sourcing mortgages for people who have iva's in the past. Their contact details are either on the left under ask the experts a question or via the members list - both come recommended.

Finishing the IVA early won't really help, whilst the IVA is on record you won't be popular with high St lenders. The good news is that once it has gone from your CR ie post that six year mark, then def have a chat with the brokers. Tempting to apply before hand, probably best not to though

I highly recommend contacting Zebra Money - they have helped me obtain a high street mortgage after IVA.

The 6 year mark is a yard-stick but it's not necessarily the case that you have to have had 6 years since your IVA, nor that just because you have you will be able to obtain a mortgage. it really does depend on lots of other factors.
