Hi - we received our variation report and I asked DFD in December when I could expect to receive the CC. I received an email on 16/1/14 confirming that the CC would be issued but there might be a delay due to Christmas and staff shortages. Nothing arrived so we chased it this week only to be told that we cannot have the CC until we have signed a Deed of Assignment for PPI. Now, this is the first I have heard of any Deed of Assignment and it was not stated in the Variation Report.
We have responded to EIF throughout our IVA and have filled in the same forms several times for the same claims, frustrating but we have complied with their requests. The goalposts are now being moved. Apparently DFD have taken the decision on behalf of creditors that everyone must sign a Deed of Assignment.
Does anybody know if DFD can withhold our CC if we do not sign this Deed of Assignment?
Have just checked our post and this Deed of Assignment needs signing and witnessing and a completed PPI pack sending to EIF before they will progures the closure. Problem - nobody other than myself and my husband know about the PPI and that is the way I want it to stay - who would be able to sign it anyway? We have completed 2 PPI packs and numerous other paperwork for EIF. Aarghh - we've done what we can but it feels we are now being held to ransom!!
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
I feel your pain and have posted about this subject recently. I have yet to receive this so called 'pack' but have had an infuriating phonecall from DFD about what they are trying to force upon us. DFD claim it is for the our benefit but we all know this to be incorrect. I've claimed PPI myself and continue to do so with great success (£12,000 claimed so far) so I have told DFD & EIF where to go and will continue to do so until they prove on who's authority they can enforce such action or changes to the T & C's of my IVA.
I'm not sure about what they are trying to do but hopefully some of the experts will pick up on this and give their views. I will be very interested to see how this latest scam develops.

I have signed a deed of assignment and even got a solicitor to witness it for Dfd.In theory it speeds up the iva release as the creditors and the iva firm can thrash out the ppi issue in the background and allowing the iva to be signed off.Mine required a creditors variation meeting to approve organised in July 2013.
Incidentaly,Dfd never sent me the deed of assignment doc' till one of my phone call chases identified their omissions in Oct....they apologised.
