Hi Foggy
Looked this morning and mine has gone! It just doesn't make sense that they haven't removed yours too?

When I was discharged from BR the insolvency register was updated to show this but remained for 3 months from the date of discharge.

Well, after several emails to and fro, the Insolvency Service still maintain they they DO NOT remove the names before the three months is up !!!

DRO's normally stay on there for an extra 3 months (15 months in total), could they have somehow got it mixed up?

Just a thought...........

They are supposed to keep the entry on the Insolvency Register for 3 months under their own internal regulations. If you get the entry removed earlier, it is a bonus rather than a right.

I am content that this is their policy -- however I do believe such policies should be applied across the board. The inconsistencies in the IVA world seem to stretch to all corners !

I hope yours has been removed by now as this post started in January.

My point is that the whole thing is a lucky dip. Some people have to fight every inch of the way and others get lucky.

My last iva payment 14 Jan 14
Certificate of Completion 14 Feb 14
Off Insolvency Register 20 Feb 14

I am very pleased but it's not fair if everyone is not treated the same. This is a stressful, challenging and potentially life changing experience that we all want behind us as soon as possible.

Is there any duration specified in law, or do the insolvency service just decide amongst themselves ?

No -- I am still on there. Despite evidence to the contrary they insist that no-one comes off within three months of completion. I have had several conversations with them, but the just stop answering after a while. I am loathe to push it in case they retrospectively add back those removed early!

As much as I'm looking forward to coming of the register, I've been on it 7 months already and it'll be on my credit files for 6 years anyway.

One thing I would support is to either reduce the level of information shown to the public (doe they really need to know exact DOB, and full postal address ?) or to require registration to access as they do in Scotland.

Yes, I realise my credit files will show the IVA for the 6 years -- but strongly object to being on a public register of shame for ANY period. And, accepting I have to be there, I agree that there is no need at all for the level of information displayed there.

Why did the petition on this forum die off, is it worth kicking it off again ?

Foggy ..you must be due off it soon. Doesn't explain why some remain on it for the full three months whilst others disappear in days !

I'm with Foggy on this one, that register should be on a need to know basis and not a public document accessible by all.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
