Melanie is on holiday for the next 2 weeks and you do not want to be worrying until she returns, you may benefit from having a chat with someone sooner rather than later?

Tina was hoping to get to speak with the other IP lady and get back to me today. I do hope so as I am so nervous, I can only envisage the worst case scenario and don't know how I could get through it. I know how disappointed and angryTina and Melanie will be I just hope beyond all hope that I can do something to make sure the IVA doesn't fail!

Great news, have just heard back from Tina and no breach so my IVA isn't in jeopardy, which is a massive relief to me. I have taken further actions to ensure I don't feel the need to gamble again and have spoken with a counsellor today so hopefully I can put this awful "blip" behind me and concentrate on the IVA as I was before!
Time to pick myself up and brush myself down!

That's fantastic news Lisa. don't beat yourself up over this, If I am feeling stressed out over something I would probably reach for the biscuit tin to deal with the emotions, that's what you have done with the gambling, don't lose your self respect, you have achieved so much to come this far. It is as you say a blip, we all have to have blips to learn from them - keep smiling!(I admire your honesty)
Having dreams doesn't cost a penny and keeps you going
Iva completed 14 months early!

That's great news and must be a relief for you :-)

Do not let this temporary set back get to you, we all make mistakes.

Good luck for the remainder of your IVA Lisa

Thanks all for your positive and non-judgemental replies. I will certainly remember this feeling/fear robbieboy and hopefully that in itself will ensure I don't experience another blip like this, I am so worried about my depleted contingency fund now though as I it took me 6 months to build that up and has pushed my plans back by 6months now too. My own fault I know and I'll just have to try and sell some more junk.... At this rate I'll have nothing to wear tho,ha!

Good Luck with the not gambling any more.
This forum is very different to others I have been on.On here in the whole people are supportive, knowledgable and non judgemental.
People are very open about their situations and this can only be a help to all concerned.
I am sure you are not the first to have a wobble Lisa.53 and will not be the last.
It must be very difficult when wherever you go there are opportunities to gamble and even sitting down to watch TV at any time of the day you are constantly bombarded with endless gambling sites giving you money!!
I am pretty sure that the more people are struggling financially there is more of a likelihood people will be looking for any method to change their situation.
I know there is always a choice ie not smoking, not drinking etc and obviously not gambling, but perhaps the government should be doing more to stop the constant advertising?
I don't know what other people feel about it and I know everyone should have a choice but between payday loans and betting sites, there doesn't seem to be a lot else being advertised?
Good luck Lisa.53 again and don't hesitate to ask for help and keep in touch with your IVA team.

Personally speaking I'm not generally anti-advertising, but I do have an issue with both the frequency and the content of many gambling-related adverts, like those which consist of a couple, or two mates, spending an evening competing against each other by gambling. And I'm surprised the likes of Ray Winstone, who has been declared bankrupt twice, are allowed to front gambling TV campaigns, particularly when the likes of Kerry Katona have been dropped from loan adverts.

My biggest gripe however is how I regularly see at least one payday loan company (WageDayAdvance) advertising at horse race meetings, with their adverts at the base of some fences (the visible side to TV spectators). To link a sport that revolves around betting and payday loans is a disgrace in my view and the courses shouldn't allow it.

Good luck Lisa, I'm sure you can do this. You are with a great company and, as others have said, there is a lot of support on here as well.
