I just phoned Freeman Jones to find out what is happening with our full and final offer that we made in September. I have been told that the person that was dealing with it has left and nobody has done anything about it!! Then told that they don't have the paperwork that I sent in - both by email and snail mail! We made the offer when our disposable income was £150 and this was our monthly payment, so our offer was based on this amount. Our annual review has changed our monthly payments to £175, starting at the end of this month. I am now worried that our offer will not be accepted as it is not based on the higher monthly payments, even though we were paying £150 when the offer was submitted. Had the report been written when the offer was made, our I&E would have reflected this. I am so upset now because my parents have made the offer for us and it is as much as they can afford. My dad's health is deteriorating, as is mine, and I was assured in September that it would all be dealt with and a decision made within 2-3 months - which is what I told my parents. I now feel that they are going to have this hanging over them over Christmas and that my financial worries have now become theirs too! In the 12 months that I have had this IVA, I have had 4 different relationship managers, none of whom seem to hand over to the next when they leave the company. I feel like we are just a number to them and the fact that I am doing all that I can to prevent defaulting on the IVA isn't taken into consideration. I am very likely to have to take time off sick for more surgery on my back in the near future, and I do not get sick pay, so would be unable to afford the IVA, hence making the offer now, before this happens.
Sorry for the moan, just feel so let down. Lots of assurance given at the time of the offer and then just forgotten about. Is it any wonder I cry myself to sleep at night?!

Don't despair Jojocox, I was with FJ and they were very helpful when things went wrong during the iva. I was off sick for 9 months and they bent over backwards to help. (I had to add 6 months on to the end of the iva to make up the shortfall.) I would carry on bugging your new relationship manager, daily if necessary, and demand to speak to your supervisor, not an easy thing I know, but keep on. You could also contact Sarah who regularly posts on the forum and she is brilliant at sorting things out. Hope you get it all sorted, remember that your health and that of your dad are the most important things. Good luck.
Thanks for the post. I'm extremely concerned to read your comments and I am sorry that our service has fallen short.
From the information in your post we’ve been able to identify your file and we are now progressing your Full & Final as a matter of urgency – we do have the paperwork necessary to get this started. I’ve asked one of my colleagues to give you a call this afternoon with an update.
We will do all we can to get this back on track for you now.
Thank you

I have to say, they were very swift and typed up the report and emailed it to me for signing. Going to be delayed though as they have the income and expenditure wrong. Hopefully, it will all be sorted soon. Thanks all for your support.
Thanks. I know we did the right thing taking out an IVA when we did, but with my health being the way it is, I'm just terrified of defaulting and am scared to take time off work when I need it.
Thanks again.
Well, I have sent in the proof of the changes in I&E, let's hope that gets things going. Just waiting to hear back that it's been received. Hope this gets sorted soon. Am seeing the specialist about my back today and really hoping they are going to be able to offer me more surgery to get it sorted!
Jojo.
