And I must add having Karol on the forum is a relief knowing they are monitoring the forum for those who do have problems & are struggling. Claire at GT has always responded to my emails & I feel reassured that they are interested in the forum.

Foggy their reviews go through quickly & painlessly, I'm sure you will be fine. Our review paper work is sent about 2 months before its due. which is also 2/3 months before the hubby's work issues P60s and GT have had no problems with us having to send it in after a review.
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

I was also 'taken over' by GT having started my IVA with BE. They helped me through a difficult time with utter kindness and have always answered my questions very quickly in a professional manner. They are also very nice to speak to but this is probably in no small part due to the accents!! However, their closure procedures do seem to be letting them down at the moment and this is such a shame as it clouds the otherwise great customer service.

Hi Foggy,
As you know I was another transfer from BE, I have found GT to be mediocre at best, my first dealings with them was being told I had a possible breach as the wage slips I had sent in during the handover from BE went missing. Not the best of starts, I never received a proper first review report saying what was paid etc.

Since then I have emailed my wage slips every 3 months.
When they took over our case a variation meeting was held which I had to sign a letter giving permission but I never received an outcome of, so I was unaware the minimum dividend was removed until I noticed it a few months ago and contacted Karol via the forum and was told then.

When my 2nd review was done it was longer than the 2 months before I received the report. Although it was very detailed.
I await with anticipation my 3rd review next April.

They changed the date my DD went out without asking to the day before my wages go in, which when I contacted them about they had no idea why or who had changed it, it had to be changed back and I had to make a payment by card that month, it was only that I noticed the payment hadn't gone out of my account that I questioned it.

The two occasions I have telephoned them they have answered the phone quickly but I was ringing to pay them extra over which is a press number 2 for this and number 3 for that so maybe the paying money over one is manned more :-)
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

Have to say my first impressions havent been great. When I rang to pay some overtime that was ealt with very quickly (surprise) and I asked if they could work out what was due for the previous quarter...answer was Yes send your wage slips in, exactly as you did with RSM.

Nearly a month later and despite a chasing phone call, no response. I was told that the review team can't be spoken to but an email would be sent to chase. Nothing....nada...zilch.

So I'm just going to ring and pay what I think I owe, but what I'm expecting to happen come review time is they'll tell me these wage slips are missing.

But the lady on the phone did have a nice accent so it's all good.

LOL -- Yes, Bradders, that accent is a distinct improvement on the RSM team :-)
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I love the irish accent and I almost wanted to create a breach every now and then just so I had to have a long chat with the staff at McCambridge Duffy in Derry :-)

My main supervisory team is based in our Northern Ireland office and they do a great job. Glad to see that the regional accents play a big part in client feeling comfortable with their IVA administration. In fact if you were to take GT, McCambridge Duffy and my own portfolios, this would represent a large part of the overall IVA cases being run out of Northern Ireland. A wonderful bunch of people they all are if I say so myself!

I would possibly feel more comfortable Mel if after speaking to the lady with the lovely soft Irish brogue, something tangible actually happened.

I don't want to spend money on a phone call just to hear a soothing voice, my wife's voice can be quite soothing and its free.

Then you need to speak to Karol. I believe that she has a 100% track record in resolving problems for GT customers - although you do have to understand that often things can take a little time.

It's really not worth bothering Karol with tbh Mel, I'll pay what I thin I owe and wait for GT to confirm one way or the other. Karols efforts are best spent trying to get IP's to talk to their clients, trying to get closure certificates' for IVA's where last payments were made 18 months ago etc and all the other situations where things have clearly gone very wrong. My point is that the initial contacts with GT havent been positive, which is really the point of the thread. Foggy was asking for some reassurance from long term customers.

I do understand that things do take a little time, although I also wonder if the companies were charged an hourly rate for OUR time, whether things would take quite as long.

Ha ha bradders your previous post about the soothing voice has made me smile! Despite what you are going through its nice to see some humour injected back into some of these threads! Hope it gets sorted soon!

Hi Its me again,

I think that it is only fair to thank Mark Allen for swiftly sending my C of C after 11 Months of fighting, I paid a total of 72 payments which not 1 was missed or late. I have today received my C of C but would like to thank GT for causing a lot of grief on my part. In my view the only reason that it was completed now was because I instigated the complaints procedure via the insolvency commission.

If this is what it takes for everyone to get completed then I would recommend that all should go down this route after waiting 8 months after my final payment

All in all Thanks to GT on a successful resolution after 11 months fighting
Final Payment made Nov 2012 after 72 months
C of C received - 18/10/2013 - + 11 months
NOW Debt Free woo hoo
GT are still a joke
