Hi,
I have received my Completion Certificate (HOORAY!!!)
I have checked the insolvency register and my name is not there anymore (HOORAY!!)
Now comes the tricky bit where i now have to make copies of my IVA Completion Certificate and send it off to Experian,Equifax and Call Credit Reference Agencies.
I still have 4 more months until i pass the 6 year mark but i am unsure on how i send the CC off.
Is there a template letter you can use or is it just a matter of writing a small letter and clipping the copied CC to it.
Also is it best to do this now or wait till after the 6 year mark to send it all off.
Any advice would be appreciated as i have never done this before.

You don't have to send it off. The defaults and any mention of your IVA will come off at the sixth anniversary of the IVA start date. Only send your completion certificate to those creditors who have recorded a default date after the start of your IVA - they have to change this to reflect this date - it may take you a couple of attempts with some, whilst others will do it immediately for you.
You can send the credit agencies copies of your certificate but it isn't automatically necessary.

Best wishes

The sixth anniversary is only 3.5 months away as my IVA was extended from 60 months to 66 and received my CC last week so what is my best course of action.

1. Just leave it and do nothing

or

2. Get my credit report and send copies off to credit reference agencies with an attached letter.

any advice will do

Really not sure what to do here

Personally i would leave it alone until it all starts to come off ...and then deal with any left on.

I agree - leave it alone for now.

I did start to clean mine up and a couple of creditors did change the dates but I decided to leave alone for the rest of our 6 years and sort the rest then.

Congratulations on completing your IVA :-)

We always suggest waiting a few months and checking your credit file again as you often find a lot of what you need correcting may possibly fall off anyway once the completion information feeds through to creditors and credit agencies.

Have a look at our guide here which includes a template letter http://www.pjgrecovery.com/clean-up-credit-rating

Hi there, My six years were up about two weeks ago and I received CC eventually in July. IVA is still on my credit report although it says completed. Shouldn't this have come off?

Give it a month or two ..it depends when in the month your files are updated by your creditors etc.

To be honest i am just glad to finally be totally Debt Free and not owe anyone a penny.
It all seems a bit surreal as even though i am now Debt Free i am still in my mindset walking around and being ultra careful in what i spend as though i am still in the IVA.
Really weird and it going to take a while in getting used to.
Maybe i have been totally Rehabilitated!!![8D]
