Thanks for the replies.

I phoned Customer Services first thing and I'm now waiting for a call from the closures team which could be within the next 24 to 48hrs.

As I said earlier all my documentation is self-explanatory but the fact that I had a blank piece of A4 paper made me wonder if there had been a printing error!

The initial letter does state that the Certificate of Completion is enclosed but I have nothing that resembles this only a notice discharging the supervisor from his duties.

Beans on Toast.... Did they say why the Certificates hadn't been included?

Here we go again!....

As I said above, you have exactly the same paperwork already as I received. You don't get anything which actually says 'Certificate' on it.
IVA Completed!

Final payment made November 2011.

CoC received 12/10/12.

Hi IVANotOverYet

Thanks for your reply. I did take on board what you stated earlier and you are probably right but others on the forum, including Melanie, have said that we really should have something that is headed 'Completion Certificate' or 'Certificate of Due Completion'.

The Representative that I spoke to earlier at GT also said the same.

Our file was closed on 24th September 2013 and I really need clarification that now we have received the closing documentation, all is included (even if it is worded differently).

Thanks once again for your reply.

Hi Borneo I am going to accept this as the completion paperwork as the letter says that the IVA is complete so that should be enough the IVA should be closed. I didnt get a chance to ring Grant Thornton today so if you hear anything please let me know. Thanks

GT people I have spoken to have referred to it as a Notice of Completion (just to muddy the waters).
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi
Thanks for the replies.

The letter that I have is headed 'Notice that the Individual Voluntary Arrangements are fully implemented'
It is dated and signed by the Supervisor.

It is headed differently to what I was expecting and I also thought that our IVA file number would/should be on it as copies will be going to update our credit report.

The initial letter states quite clearly that the IVA is closed so I'm not concerned there but I will let you know the outcome once I have spoken to GT.

Thanks both once again.

Hi

Just to say that today we came off the Insolvency Register after receiving the closing documentation on 5th October 2013, (completion dated 24th September 2013).

I have forwarded a copy of the 'Notice' documentation that we had which has been dated and signed by our Supervisor so I will take it , unless I hear otherwise from GT, that this was the Certificate.

I would also like to add that although it has been a long 7 years, the last 12 months being an absolute headache with phone calls and emails chasing closure, the end result more than makes up for it.

For all of you just starting your IVA's, those half way through and those still waiting patiently for long overdue Certificates...hang on in there!...your time will come and it is such a relief.

This forum, that I have posted on now and then (to let off steam most of the time) has been such a support and I would like to thank all who answered my posts and gave advice. In fact I'm so hooked on it now I even check it out before I check my emails!

Keep Positive Everyone. If it can end for me...it will end for you!

Hi all,

Just posted about my completion paperwork and how pleased I feel and thought I'd just reply to this post and well done to all and hope you feel as happy as I do.

Also, my paperwork is worded the same as yours Borneo. There is a letter, a list of my creditors and then my 'Notice that the Individual Voluntary Arrangements are fully implemented' I think that must be right and all we will receive, because my IP has ceased to act on my behalf, according to him.

Does anyone know how long before it's removed from the register?

Again, well done all.

Thanks Foggy, mine was completed on the 2nd, still on, so guess I'll have to wait a bit longer. No real hurry.

Thanks Foggy and Julieannas.

As stated our closure was 24th September 2013. Off Insolvency Register today 9th October 2013 so that's roughly 2weeks so they are working pretty quickly at the moment. Should be the same for you.
All the Best!

Fantastic News, Adam,Borneo & Julie !!! [:)] Feels great to finally be debt free doesn't it ! [:)][:)]

Julie i'm in no doubt you will be removed from the IR very soon. My CC was dated 26 September and received CC in post on 2nd October, within a few days i was removed from the IR. Bit of a shock, in a good way, to actually put in my name in and find no records found on the IR site.

Take care all,
All the best,

Regards Daz (webspark)

Completion Certificate Received 2nd October 13. [:)]

Thanks webspark

Congratulations to you also...yes that's exactly what happened this morning when I checked the register and found a blue screen just saying no records found...trouble is I've been on a day off work today and because I have been waiting for this for so long I have found myself intermittently rechecking the site just to make sure I have entered my details correctly and that they haven't made a mistake!

This whole IVA experience has made me double check everything....I will have to start getting a grip!
