Hi All,

We have been in an iva for 6 years and made all our payments. We are currently waiting on our certificate the problem we are facing is Kingsgate keep moving the goal post. Our final payment was July now they are telling us our end date was september and it will be 3 months from then.

Can they do this? We are stuck in a house that is too small with neighbours who are currently making our lives hell and we would just like to go but cant make any move without the certificate!

I would continue to call them weekly and keep asking the question and explaining the issues ... Hopefully they will get fed up of hearing the same and then action it.

Ruby - unless you have a buyer lined up - there is nothing to stop you getting ready to put the house on the market. However a word of warning - on selling the property you will find a question relating to dispute with neighbours - you do have to answer this as truthfully as you can.

3 months is very little time to finish off the IVA - some firms can take 6 months or longer

I agree about the timescales but hopefully Kingsgate will put out the stops. totally sympathise with you in respect of neighbours I honestly do.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Sympathies and empathy from me: most of my neighbours are renting, which is why I've put mine on the market (oh, for a viewing...). Have called the Council three times this week alone about the noise from my new immediate neighbours, I and others have asked them to turn it down as well.

But I'm stuck in my IVA until the creditors submit revised claims, even though I've paid more than the debt + fees. Having to put your life on hold for five years for the IVA is bad enough; having to keep it on hold for no good reason is a source of complaint for many of us - whether it be because of our IPs or someone else. Keep going - the move will be that much sweeter when it happens.

Gary

We are waiting for our certificate from Kingsgate too due to PPI issues. Last payment was back in February. We are now in our second 3 month extension which runs out at the end of November. No end in sight as of yet!!! :0(
