Hello, can you please advise me.
I was in an IVA, which ended earlier this year, I have my Completion Certificate dated 12th July 2013.
I have contacted Experian to adjust their records on my credit file, only to have received a letter from one of my creditors stating that they have sent a cheque for interest on one of my PPI claims to my IVA provider, BUT this cheque was sent in AUGUST 2013, a month after my IVA finished. I received over 21000.00 on my PPI claims which was paid into my IVA, and thought that would be it, all finished.
Can I claim this interest payment back from my IVA provider seeing as it was paid in after I received my Completion Certificate.

You need to speak to the IP as you may be entitled to the interest payment. You could be liable for tax on this money so it is only fair you receive it first!

Hi Warren - it will depend on the terms of your IVA as to whether you can receive this money or not. Speak to your IP to get clarity - hope you get to see some of it so you can enjoy a few extra pounds post IVA.

Let us know why your IP says as I'm sure others would be interested as they could face similar situations.
