15 months later and still waiting for completion letter. Getting fobbed off every time with DFD, waiting for PPI. I'm really disgusted with this appalling service. I'm desperate to move on from my IVA history and rebuild my credit as want to start my own business. Is there anyone who will chase this up and close down my IVA?

Hi Jadey,

You don't need to wait for you CC to start your own business. You may find that your IVA has already dropped off your credit file. I am led to believe that this happens 6 Years after your IVA commenced, regardless of whether you have that final piece of paper or not. Have you checked your credit rating with Experian, Noddles etc?

If your credit score is still poor, you can still open a business bank account: Try 'Cash Plus' (Google them), if you have no luck with the high street banks.

Good luck with your new venture.
My opinions are just that: Based on my experience and being a self-employed IVA customer.

You IVA will remain on your credit report for at least 6 years - so if you IVA is 7 years it will remain there as an active IVA until the credit agency are notified by the Insolvency service (ie you completion documents)
