Hopefully someone can help, I made my last payment May 2012 and have had numerous email exchanges with GT over the past 15 months and every time I asked about my closure documents I get, these will be with you in four weeks, then nothing, then three weeks then two to three etc... and on it goes on. The latest email says that there is 'some more admin to be done' so have made a formal complaint.

Does anyone know if their formal complaint process works as I am going to approach the insolvancey service if not.

Also is the a maximum time by law they have to close after final payment made?

its grant thornton so expect the worse.if there was a iva company with a constant theme its them on not closing out because they cant cope with all the extra work they have taken on(from the horses mouth on another thread).you will just have to keep up the communication with them and when it goes no further go down the internal complaints then the omnibusman route.
cc received 6th January 2014 now upwards and onwards

hi thanks yes from what I have read it does seem to be a common theme with them.

I am submitting an internal complaint now and then one to the insolvancey service if I do not get a good response.

how long can this drag on ... 16 months, 24 months .....???

Have you made the complaint directly to the IPs regulatory body, or via the new Insolvency Service gateway? If you are minded to make a formal complaint, you should use the gateway so that the complaint can be correctly handled and passed on to the appropriate body.

My experience of GT complaint process was them to fail to meet any date to reply and then lie to cover it up and then just plain ignore my complaint.
Pretty much like thier customer service in last couple of years.
Time to end of IVA 0 days
Time to end of GT dealing with it...CC recieved after a battle royal !!

I have been told by GT customer service to put the complaint FAO Paul Madden. No idea who in GT this is or what will happen now or how long...

If no luck I will go through the new Insolvency Service gateway.

I have every email saved they have sent me as evidence.
