Does anyone know what the process is once you have received your letter to say dividend achieved. I'm not sure what the process is with DFD. They seem to be very secretive. It's been a 6 year IVA. I've been told to cancel my direct debit and have no outstanding PPI claims. Just want to have this nightmare of debt to clear from my life.

Contact DFD but they seem to be closing files at the minute so hopefully you will receive your certificate soon.

Hi Fox and welcome to the forum

I think you need to check that they have fully completed their PPI investigations. Whilst you may feel that you have no valid mis-selling claims to make, your IP may well want to fully investigate this matter before they are prepared to issue you with a completion certificate.

Before submitting the final dividend reached letter they had me sign a document to say no outstanding PPI claims to be made. What would be the next stages. I'm not very clear on that. Thank you

Have you signed and returned that letter Fox, and have they confirmed that as a result their PPI investigation has concluded?

I thought entering an IVA was stressful. Leaving it is more stressful. Every time I call DFD I get a different answer. The only thing I believe now is the dividend has been achieved because I have that in writing. The PPI letter they sent me to say I had no PPI claim to make was sent back months ago. At the beginning of July they said they had relieved it and it was marked on the system. Now they are saying they can not see it on the system. My stress levels are going through the roof. It would be so nice for these companies to set out a close down plan do you knew the process of every stage. I hope I'm not stuck at this stage forever like I've read on these forums. :-(

Such a shame you are having a less than positive experience having successfully concluded an IVA. Can any of the DFD representatives on the forum help this poster?

Are Debt Free Direct still in business?
My IVA finished in March 2013 and I have not recieved any communication from them. I have been sending emails for a month with no replies and the customer support line keeps me on hold for over 30 minutes, in the last month I have not been able to speak to anyone at debt free direct.

They do answer it just takes a while to get through. The everyone I speak to is nice and friendly but I just don't have confidence in what they tell me. This is because I've called every week since I was told to cancel my standing order payment. I think after 6 years we shouldn't be left holding on. You should get a pack that says which stage you're at now and what to expect as the weeks pass. It's scary being left in the dark. Nice not having to pay anymore, but at least that was a stable process. The end stages seem wonky to me

Very much so Martin - they are one of the larger firms operating within this marketplace. They have a few representatives now posting on the forum, so hopefully one of them will see your posting and try to assist with your queries.

I hope they do get in touch soon. I have been reading horror stories on the forum regarding Debt Free Direct and the amount of time it takes to recieve the completion certificate. Debt Free Direct and Equity in Finance have been working on one PPI claim for 16 months and I still do not think it has been resolved. I haven't had any feedback from either company since March. My experience is that the customer service is great initially, but as soon as I finished making my 60 monthly payments I have been ignored.
