Its a real concern because i cannot start my life again until my IVA ends. The post made by Foggy about windfalls is outragous in respect that they should not be attemtping to claim further monies when we have in effect finished our IVA term. Why should people be held to ransom and penalised where an IP is delayed in closure? I really hope someone takes this to the press sooner rather than later. Its a complete disgrace that these companies own you for 5/6 yrs then want to cause further upset because of their incompetance.

I agree with what you say about going to the press Geoff but I can't see it happening as I can imagine there would be very few people prepared to go public as sadly there is still a stigma attached to debt. I just hope that GT can sort out this ridiculous mess so that people can get on with their lives.

It does drive you to the brink of despair, I had no idea this would happen. Dragging on for so long after payments are finished. Surely GT's workload must ease soon and allow these certificates to be sent out?

Absolutely disgraceful being treated like this. We are supposed to be on the road to recovery, not taken for a ride!

Well, after trying to reach gt since Thursday and having been promised 2 call backs, they finally called this morn. My iva was part of the variation meeting last month and they said that it was accepted. Apparently creditors had 21 days to appeal, which they did not and as my case was already with the closure team I will receive my closure cert in the next 2 weeks! He said they have started printing closure documents already and a lot are due to go out so hopefully many of you will receive yours to if you were already with closure and were part of that meeting.

Surely they would have issued you with a Chairman's Report of the outcome of the meeting, and ideally called you on the day of the meeting to notify you of the result? The appeal period is actually 28 days under statute.

Glad to see that things seem to be on the move for you, however, Samantha.

No report, only found out about the meeting by me emailing them and likewise only found out the terms were accepted in response to another email from me. It usually takes two or three emails to get a response

Am not sure how they are getting round not issuing Chairman's Reports. I will find out tomorrow.

I didn't get a report for my MVM held in May either. I got a response by email - if I hadn't initiated it I doubt I would have been told. The meeting was on 22nd or possibly 23rd May and so I should hopefully get my closure certificate by the end of June as I have been told by GT.
Paid F&F in July 2012 and received CC in July 2013 :-)
