Hi all,

Has any member here received their CC from Grant Thornton, whilst currently still having PPI claims being made by EIC.

I sent back my signed pink spotty letters (two weeks ago) and was just trying to get a rough idea (in general) of the timescale involved to possibly receiving my CC from GT.

I finished paying the iva with GT end of February this year, time just seems to be dragging on and on just waiting for this elusive Completion Certificate !!! [:(]

Have a good day all [:)]
All the best,

Regards Daz (webspark)

Completion Certificate Received 2nd October 13. [:)]

I made a F&F payment in July 2012 and am supposedly going to get my CC by the end of June. Will let everyone know if I do....

Have you sent back the variation letter (think my one had purple spots on) so your case can be included in a MVM so your case can be closed without PPI investigations being completed? My MVM was on 22nd May (not that I'd have known if I hadn't specifically asked but this is GT of course....)

Hope lots of CCs start being issued very soon :-)
Paid F&F in July 2012 and received CC in July 2013 :-)

Hi kst101, First letter i had was purple spots one, text back acceptance and then received the (pink spotty one) authorization ones, and signed all letters for EIC to claim from the creditors.

Having spoken to EIC this afternoon, they have confirmed receiving them.
I have now been told i should be having a questionaire phone session with them within the next few weeks usually takes around an hour, not exactly sure what questions will be asked but i believe its questions the creditors want answering with EIC acting as the inbetween.

Also told by EIC that once they have the answers, they will inform GT that they are satisfied all conditions have been met, and they can then proceed with closure, whilst the ppi claims go through.

I don't know when my MVM is/was on. I will need to contact GT too on this I expect.
All the best,

Regards Daz (webspark)

Louiseh did EIC tell you that when they have finished with the questioning that they would notify GT asap and that GT could then proceed with wrapping up your iva and issue the CC. That was how I was informed today.

I must admit though I have had no contact from GT since paying my last payment in February. I would like to imagine that in the next 3 months I would possibly have my CC, although I could be wishful thinking that eh.
All the best,

I haven't had any contact from EIC apart from the spotty letters. They kept calling but not leaving messages so I googled the number and called them myself. This was the pink spotty letter with many forms - when I spoke to them they said they hadn't received them but as I said I had, they would put me on the list of people who had replied. S who knows what will happen. But hopefully my CC will appear in the next few weeks as GT have said it will :-)

I was told it would take 6 months from going to closure to being issued my completion certificate, the whole EIC thing having no impact on that, and it wouldn't be any sooner. So 9 months after final payment....we'll see... still a few months to go

We signed the spotty letters months ago and GT said they would prioritise us because it is 25 months since our last payment left the bank . Our creditors agreed a month ago to allow closure and we are still waiting for our certificate. No sign as yet so patience is a virtue

The only people who can really answer your post webspark are GT themselves. Are you in regular contact with them about progress?

Thanks Melanie, I must admit I haven't been in contact with GT as I thought (maybe naively) that they would be in touch quite soon after the last payment to say my iva had been passed to closures.

Thinking about it if I remember right they give at least 6 months to close the iva.

Although when speaking with a chap from EIC he did say that after completely answering all the questions they have from the creditors. They would immediately inform the relevant department in GT to allow them to progress straight on the issuing the CC.

EIC also told me that my case would likely take around six months to complete as there were 13 creditors.

I shall contact GT next week though to find out about this MVM business as they do seem quiet on that front.
All the best,

OMG Geordie !! 25 Months since your last payment and STILL NO CC. How have you coped with waiting soooo long. Have you recently contacted GT again for a progress report.

How many months back did you send back the spotty letters ?, did EIC speak with you and confirmed they received them ?.
When i spoke to them, they told me the date and time they received them in the office.

Hope you receive your CC soon.
All the best,

Can not remember when we signed the spotty letters but quite some time ago. EIC have been in touch a few times and they said they have almost identified what they need. We had a letter about a month ago from GT to say a meeting was held and our creditors voted to accept closure . As I said earlier we are still waiting but it is still stressful and although unacceptable we are not sure what else we can do now but wait . Every day we look for the letter arriving . As soon as it does you will all know about it. It will be on the ten o'clock news !!! Without the support of this forum things would have been much worse so thank you everyone for your words of support

Hi its been a good year since have been on the forum still haven't got my letter its 8 years now. Still looking after my husband in his 4 year from his cancer but the last few weeks his started to loose weight again just waiting to go back into hospital for CT scan. I just wish we would receive the closure.
letter.just on the ppi do you get a list of all the ppi received into Iva.
