I would ask to miss "one" payment and buy the best tv you can with it if it was me, but would try some of the other options first i.e Ebay local and newspaper. I know the IP take a sizable chunk and its hard sometimes, but at least your going to be debt free at the end of it all. I would ask the IP first and if they say no, you can go ahead and still do it. Better with their blessing I think. Alternate you could ask for a short term 15% reduction and put this spare funds towards a new tv. I think the IP will be ok about it personally. I have not had any problems in that way with mine. At least you have a few options so you should be able to get a second hand tv.

I have just been through my message forum at work in the sale section (I work Saturday morings at a large NHS hospital) not a single TV, their are fridges, DVD's, washing machines, sofa's even Demi Johns, fish tanks & caravans. If you live near Hull? I can keep looking out for you? There are rabbits free to a good home if you go down that avenue ha ha.
Do you really need a tv if you have broadband? I say this cos you can watch all BBC out put on th iPlayer, and BBC news24 broadcast live on line ivy, ch4,ch5 all have catch up players on line.
But l Am not a huge tv watcher mainly watch news and the odd drama or documentary. Just a idea

and even more to lose

Don't you let that deal go down"

We got a television from a local charity that recycles furniture. It cost £25 was in full working order and they had done all the electrical tests. Alright it is not flat screen but it works fine.
Go on gumtree freebies, there are also loads of site and communities such as freecycle that are around for people giving things away. while you don't have a TV in the mean time, why not read. mankind survived long before the TV was invented
