Just wanted to post so I could say I'm now HALF WAY through my IVA so on the right side of the countdown[:D][:)][:D][:)][:D]
It's still not easy but I'm finding it easier not be grumpy when I can't buy something I just count my blessings and move on knowing I will be debt free soon enough.

That is a great achievement issey, and now you have climbed the mountain you merely have the hill to walk down. I know it is more difficult than that, but putting things into perspective you probably feel that you are much further on than half-way there.

Fantastic issey, we're not far off half way now ourselves, I'm amazed how quick the months seem to be flying by actually

Just catching up on this one. Well done Issey -- I hope to be joining you on that downhill slide very soon.

Mind you, some folks say I have been going downhill for years :-)
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

At my halfway point it seemed to be going so slow I was dreading the same again. Happy to say though, with 7 more to go, the second half is flying by. Hope it's the same for you.

Im never sure when half way is ? I expect to have another 12 months on top of the five years (in lieu of equity not being able to be relased) so calculate half way as three years rather than 2 and a half years ....although my count down picture shows that countdown as a five year IVA . What do others do ?

By the way ..CONGRATULATIONS !! it must get easier knowing that IVA is half completed and its just the lasthalf to do !!

well done.it did tend to go slow for me after half way,but this last year is absolutely fying by now that I have got all my equity clause out the way(I HAVE NONE SO 5 YEARS IT IS)and I have been given date to cancel standing order.so keep in there it does come to an end and hope to see you pass finishing post.[:D]

well done isseymyake

you will find the final 2.5 years start to go quicker ad when you hit a year to go , it will fly

my advice to you would be to ensure you have worked with your IVA co to claim any PPI due, so that this cant delay things at the end.

Hopefully in 2.5yrs time, PPI will be a thing of the past , although god only knows what will come out of the woodwork to be the next completely unplanned saga !!

keep counting down , it wont be longe before you are free !!

I'm on the downward slide too. It was a hard old slog up and I'm sure there'll be a fair few stumbles on the way down but I'm getting there :-)
