Hi all,
Haven't posted for a while as things have been pretty tough. My wife has endured months of bullying from her employers but due to the IVA and not wanting it to fail, she stuck the job out. Things came to a head a few weeks ago and i told her to see her doc. She has been on sick leave since. Having applied for several jobs and getting interviews, she got a new job this week. Its a big pay cut but things couldn't carry on the way they were in her old job.

Today in the post, a pile of forms arrived one of which requires a full financial screening in line with BS7858 code of conduct.

My wife is in now in turmoil as to what to do? Does she phone HR and explain? Does she let them run the credit check and hope for the best?
The new job also pays monthly which is also a worry. By the 15th of next month when all bills have gone through, we will be skint!

Worrying times ahead.

I'd contact HR and explain about the IVA. Fingers crossed.

Paul

Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

She should disclose it because I have seen people be offered jobs, give in their notice and then have the offer withdrawn because the IVA showed up. This happened to a client of ours who posts on here.

I am not sure that we were aware of all this in the office Johndylan, so if you need to call to chat things through I am around all next week. So sorry to hear that she has been having such a rough time.

Thanks for all the advice. My wife phoned HR and they have said the IVA wont be a problem. Huge relief and although we didn't want a payment break had no option. Thanks to Nicola from Mel's team for sorting this today.

Good luck to you and your wife. What a horrible thing to happen to her, I'm glad she's no longer trapped.
Life after IVA is wonderful.
