How long should DFD take to send my completion certificate now all my PPI claims have been closed?
Paid last payment nov 2012 and recently chased up outstanding PPI myself with EIF. Have been keeping on top of DFD as advice from this forum. They have responded saying that they can't give and estimate of how long it will take. What should I expect from them? It's been 6 months since end of IVA already and have had to do the chasing myself as DFD aren't very bothered about closures.

Hi Poppy, if all your dealings with EIF are at a conclusion, then i think DFD have had enough time to sort out your closure.
I would email your IP, ask for a final date if that isn't forthcoming then you could submit a complaint, if that doesn't work i would contact your MP and get them to write to DFD, i did this and low and behold i got mine within 4 weeks.
Good luck and best wishes.

Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.
IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Hi there,
mine took six months from completion, hang on in there, there is usually a ton of paperwork for them to sort, such as claims that might not yet have been made or over/ under claims etc.... you should have it before long.
IVA finished June 2011

So...received a response from DFD that read something like, sorry we haven't closed your PPI claims yet, your IP has a duty to get as much return for creditors as possible, you can contact EIF on.... (anonymous email)
I have pointed out that EIF have closed my case last week and that I am seeking information on when I will get my certificate and that if they cared to read the email trail directly below they would realise my case was with the closure team as EIF have closed all my claims.
I have pointed out that the response is irrelevant and lazy. Thinking MP might be contacted this week. Have emailed J Anderton but think she's been out of office until today and probably regrets coming back off leave if she's getting lots of these.
I don't understand why they can't say, this is what is happening and we have to do this. But they can't even keep up with recent updates like my claims are resolved. Humph.
