Its not the end of the world to be honest. No change with account number etc. so DD not affected. Turns out my sisters got a basic account with the CO-OP!! If anything it may help budgetting even more as restricted to obtaining cash.

i dont normally stick up for banks but i found natwest brilliant. i had a current account with a debt card and during my IVA they offered to upgrade it to a private account due to my income. i have had it ever since desite my poor credit histroy.
Got married two months after i completed! Building my life back up again but still staying on here to support all those who helped me in my times of need!

Basic accounts differ from bank to bank, but in the main they do the business with little issue...stick with it ..they are free accounts afterall!
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt

I had no idea there were so many NatWest cards...
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

You can withdraw money from any Post Office with a Nat West basic bank card and there's no fee. Wondered if this helps anyone?

Thanks Lin thats useful as if unable to locate a natwest atm theres usually a post office in the smaller towns/villages. We have family in Cornwall and so if stuck in remote area then at least can find a PO for cash....not that we will get to go much now due to petrol costs
