I started my Iva in July 2006 and completed in Jan of this year. I spoke to kingsgate who have informed me they have until 25/04/13 to complete their end and 28 days thereafter to send certificate of completion. My question is what do i need to do now, do i need to check my credit file or will it be clear as it has been 6 years? Also would like to upgrade my basic bank acc to a current acc and dont know how long i need to wait as iam still showing on the insolvency registar. Many thanks

After six years your credit file should clear itself presuming no further defaults were entered after the start date of your IVA. If there were you can write to the data controller for that creditor requesting they amend their records ...you may need to send copy of your certificate as evidence.
Once your certificate is issued you should be removed from the register within a number of days.
Upgrading bank account maybe more tricky as some banks retain records for longer than 6 years.
