From what I gather, the proposal generally allows for a period of 6 months admin after the last payment. Once that has passed, completion certificate or not, if no extensions have been made, then the IVA is finished and your responsibilities end. Certainly, should this befall me, when my time comes, I shall be challenging this in Court, if need be.

I don't mind if GT take their sweet time issuing that certificate, but my proposal states the term is 66 months ( including the 6 month admin period ). After that the IVA ends and the IP cannot draw upon windfalls, etc. after that time.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

If you have written to Paul, I am sure he will personally interact to get things moving for you as quickly as possible. I will make sure he is made aware of this thread.

Ok, GT will not allow a CC until PPI claim has been dealt with. I have just spoken to one of their reps, who, even though I had filled out and signed many forms, had to go through each and everyone, again. To top it off, because I was unsure of one or two details, they have to request further info from GT!

And the 'cherry on the cake'...wait for it....the process should only take about 6 (SIX) months.

Time since last payment: 17 months
Time until CC: no end in sight

PS, did I mention I had to use the PPI company (a subsidiary of GT) that GT told me too....

Are you sure that this company is a subsidiary of GT? I ask because GT trade as a partnership and not a limited company.

If it was EIC, they are a "trading partner" of GT, sub-contracted for PPI investigations. However, I get the impression that EIC often represent themselves as GT, which could ( and does) cause confusion as to the relationship.

GT have told us that EIC are a subsidary company. Thus regulated by different people to GT.

As per my previous thread, they are holding a MVM next week with creditors to discuss our PPI claim (which I never wanted to claim as we are pretty sure we have never been mis sold it).

We are at our wits end with GT. However, the MoJ have possibly taken our complaint - I am waiting a call back next week from a lovely chap, and the pressure put on GT is now immense. They have 2 months to supply our CC (Their words).

What I will add however, that according to GT the MVM meeting next week is their first one re PPI with the creditors... KEEP COMPLAINING GUYS - they will need to listen eventually. If not Watchdog here we come! :)
Our greatest glory consists not of never falling but of rising each time we do fall

@mumsmushroom who or what is MoJ , and how do I contact them?? Anything I can do to try and get GT to do what they are meant to do would be welcomed. I would also say that it was EIC that I spoke with, not anyone from GT, its been over Two months and no further info from them is forthcoming. I really don't know if it is every 'client' that they treat like this or just some ( I think perhaps the originally non-GT people)

Hi theHUGE, I do believe MoJ is the Ministry of Justice, I also believe GT treat all their clients equally with the same disrespect and ignorance.
Their customer service relationship is nothing but a disgrace.

This is the body who grants licenses to Claims Management Companies and is responsible for their compliance.

I have received a letter from my complaint from Mark Allen. Whilst it attempts to explain why there has been such a massive hold up, I am unsure how much of it is truth and how much is 'whitewash'/'fudge factor'. If I were to scan it, would someone who knows about these things, be able to look it over, and give an opinion. I am thinking of writing to the MoJ, OFT, and FSA, but I think, would have 'egg on my face', if all that was explained to me was in fact, right, and they are without fault.

I have a huge amount of respect for Mark Allen, and doubt he would be saying anything to you which is not techncially correct and which he could not stand behind. He is most definately not a provider of "whitewash", "fudge" or any other types of fabrication.

Has he given you an idea of when he will be able to conclude matters for you?

The only times mentioned was that it should take 2 months to arrange a variation meeting with respect to PPI, this was over 2 months ago. I rang yesterday (customer services) and was told there was no new additional info they could give me. So, again, I am no better off. It also did not state how long the 'suspension' of my closure amounted too, or why, even though they thought PPI would be an issue, it took over a year to mention this to me, and send out paperwork. (I was also not given the opportunity to go with anyone else, or do it myself).

Hi

Does anyone know when the GT variation meeting, allowing completion certificates prior to PPI claims,is actually taking place ? Seems as if it has rumbled on for months now

I really do feel for anyone caught up in this debacle

So do I Andy. I actually feel lucky that my IVA failed as there is a good chance I may have been caught up in the GT mess as my IVA was transferred from Accuma to GT.
