Hi

On the Money Advice Service website

"Avoid fee-charging debt management plan providers"

A statement like that really should not be allowed on a "FREE · UNBIASED · INDEPENDENT" government website

Makes my blood boil plus the IVA information is simply wrong

Regards

It's ironic really as the new DM protocol states that you have to advise debtors of the MAS........

Indeed, making people aware of the protocol that is designed to increase standards, whilst also informing clients of the free sector, who flatly refuse to sign up to the protocol. In effect, compliant organisations referring to non compliant ones.

Makes your head spin.

I would certainly not have recommended that website to anyone, let alone in public, without checking its content first. I have drawn this issue to the attention of my fellow DRF board members, and the Chairman has written to the head of MAS to express our concerns about the incorrect and baised content contained within.

Good luck Drew. It`s good to know the issue is being recognised. I`m tempted to have a go myself[:)]

Well I think this Governments idea of fair and unbiased is quite frankly none existent, unless you have a few £mill in the bank of course.

I am fairly new to this forum having been in IVA about 14 months. I didn't find the forum until my IVA had been set up. I spoke to a couple of firms from google searches and went with Bridgestones who never seem to get a mention here.

They have been very supportive with lots of time spent talking through options with me before deciding on IVA route.

Now IVA is running they answer all emails next day, help with overtime calculations in a very clear, supportive way, and genuinely seem keen to work together to make the IVA a success.

That's good Westie. My IVA company is also very good to talk to and they always answer my queries on the same day.
