Choosing Melanie was a wise move, Melanie is my IP although I'm nearing the end of my journey I only have good words for her as she made my IVA easier in my hard times.

Good luck for the 27th
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

We are really pleased to have you on board as a client Viki, and we are all keeping everything crossed for the creditors meeting. Hopefully a good result and then you can have a peaceful Easter.

So our meeting was yesterday and was delayed due to Northern Rock giving us the wrong monthly payment figure for the mortgage part (we have mortgage and a loan with them which comes out as 1 monthly payment - the loan part of it is unsecured and is included in IVA). They were £30 short on mortgage payment, plus the creditors have requested that we increase our payment as they said that our car running costs were too high (2 old cars plus my husband does approx. 450 miles a week). So the adjusted figures were submitted yesterday and we were told that we will get an answer within 24 hours. So we took another day off today hoping we will know today. We still don't know as we were told that one of our creditors was too busy to reply therefore we have to wait until next week now. I dont think I can do this anymore :(. It was hard enough waiting yesterday and today and now we have a bank holiday weekend to wait..
Thanks everyone for your support.

Try to keep busy and not dwell on it ( easier said than done, I know ). Fingers crossed :-)
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Viki its a technicality someone else should have picked up beforehand, don`t worry I`m sure you`ll be OK though sounds quite trivial.[:)]

Grrrrrr!

We have four cases this month where creditors are "too busy" to vote, and hence have had to be adjourned. This is simply not good enough, and I will be expressing my views politely after the Easter break. These people need to understand that there are human beings at the sharp end of this, and if they are too busy they should hire more staff.

Thanks everyone, will try and keep busy this weekend, although really hard, kept waking up last night thinking about it! I hoped we would know by now and can move on with our lives..
Thanks Melanie, really not fair, I know we have no case to argue, just that feeling of unknown so hard to deal with..

Hi Viki, and welcome to the forum from us to.

As you know already you are with probley one of the best IP's in the game. Mel's team will be doing a top job for you and it will be just a matter of time that you will be joining all the rest of us on the road to being debt free.

I think its always the waiting and unknown that is probley the hardest bit, but try and put everything to do with the IVA in a box for the weekend and try and have a good easter knowing that once its sorted,( and it will be) you will be able to get on with your life knowing there wont be no more credit card bills charging stupid amounts of interest, no more shi*ty letters and phone calls etc.

Now days with the current climate creditors would like to get back anything they can and seem to be willing to except most IVA's. Plus also some of us are sometimes able to make the odd overpayment due to overtimeetc which i think always shows you are trying to pay back as much as you can.

In a few weeks it will be a distant memory!!!

Best of luck, and look foward to reading how you get on from timt to time.

Happy Easter.

Baldy & Family[:)]
