Size 5 : I think im locked into the 80's when it comes to music.
Did not realise they were that recent (90's).
Nobody mentioned the "Sweet".
Simply Red. Blimey what a name for a IVA company!!!!! not sure if Mick would like that though. Still,at least you could say " Something got me started"[:D]
Yes, we were with them, Baldy - Why did they change it to StepChange, but not the number? I recognised the number immediately when I saw their tv advert recently. The interesting thing is, tv adverts for that length of time costs between £2 and £5k to make...Hmm, are my IVA contributions going towards their adverts in a roundabout sort of way?
"Material Girl" by Madonna is another money-related type of song, but none more so than "Golddigga" by a rap artist whose name escapes me...
I have been a New Romantic, a Goth and an Indie b.t.w. And a huge Madonna fan along the way also!
You say you were with them. Have you finnished your IVA or have started another one?
Its very frustrating when you here people with the same companys who are getting different levels of service.
To be honest things were a little bit rocky when we first started but touch wood we are pretty happy with the way things are going.
As for changing their name to "Step change" Not really sure if that one works for me.
I think over the years there has been loads of posts/comments regarding them being tied into the banks etc and not a true charity, so i wonder if they have tried to distance themselves from that connection.
Regards to advertising i would like to see the whole IVA insustry being advertised as a whole. Just to let people who are in debt know that there is always a soloution for them and their familys. It saddens me very much where people have taken their own lives and sometimes children and partners lives because of debt.
I hope you get things sorted though. Im not too bothered how they are spending their money as long as they provide a good service for every one.
The branding change from CCCS to StepChange is a clever one, and for a debt charity they utilise very clever marketing tools to win their work. I am not knocking that at all - everyone has to earn a living these days, and I think their new look website is very good and appealing to the consumer.
