Hey everyone

Not posted for a while been busy in my new job :0)

Well today i got a letter through the post from Lloyds TSB out of the blue informing me that they are going to pay me £5500 PPI compensation, bit gutted that it has come now as it am in a joint IVA with my partner and this would have paid the debts off in my name totally and meant only my partner would have had to have been in the constraints of an IVA and not both of us (i think) i mean i am very grateful for the IVA dont get me wrong but just wish that this would have come 4 months ago and i really could have been debt free seen as his debts were before he met me.

Hope you are all well

Much love x

How much do you actually owe to your own creditors? It may be possible to split the IVAs and get yours finished early, from your asset. Have a chat with your own IP to see if they feel this would be possible.

I phoned them Mel and asked them this question myself and they said that this isnt an option for me as i agreed to be tied in with my partner. I thought this strange because what if i ever split up with him surely it is possible to split i owe about 6k.

It is always possible to split interlocking IVA's. However, many IP's will refuse to do this for the sake of their own convenience, not from any point of law or procedure.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

it is possible as I did it.
my wife and I had interlocking iva and my son put forward a f@f offer when he decided to leave home.he paid my wifes iva up with an offer and we just then kept mine going but taking into account my wifes earnings so they could see she was paying her share of the bills.your company could do the same and would have to put forward your f@f offer reguardless of what they wanted you to do.ring them and tell them that's what you want to do.
cc received 6th January 2014 now upwards and onwards

Good luck, I hope you can get the IVAs split. It seems pointless for you to stay in an IVA if you can pay off your debts in full.

Let us know how you get on x
