Is anyone interested in why we are waiting for our CCs?
Here is an interesting article on them buying RSM/Tenon in October 2012. 10 MONTHS after my last payment!!!!!!!! Why are they behind on their obligations, sheer greed and incompetence!
This is unbelievable arrogance and neglect of their existing obligations. not only that but the comments in the market are that it was a very bad deal indeed. That it would yield them good returns is misguided and as the journalist says. Tosh!
However I actually don't care if my IP makes millions out of it, he has an ongoing obligation to me personally and had failed miserably. He really should resign immediately! A single day over the time allowed in our agreement is an insult. 13 months after my last payment is inexcusable!
Hey guess what! I have discovered that the grinning individual in the picture is actually MY Insolvency Practitioner. I find this really hard to accept, absolutely Unbelievable!.......Angry, you couldn't even begin....Shameful to say the least.
It is appreciated that you have views to make IVAVictim, however I feel that you have now made your point fully and there is nothing to be gained about continuing with the same message.
The gentleman you refer to, is a widely respected practitioner whom I have have known well for a number of years. You can rest assured that the difficulties which have historically been encountered, and it is not for me to highlight them in public forum, are being addressed and will be resolved shortly. The last two years have been incredibly difficult for those of us involved in personal insolvency, but this does not make an IVA a bad solution for people considering how to deal with their debts to consider.
Can we now let the matter of GT rest for a little while and allow this firm to concentrate on their own portfolio and dealing with their clients' complaints in the most professional way possible.
But as you say Melanie, (and I agree after seeking advice), there is no clear reason why GT need a variation at all. You and other IPs have been able to deal with PPI without a variation and progress to issuing CCs quite easily. Why have GT been unable to do this?
Sorry I jumped a post there. Yes indeed and i agree they should be dealing with their clients complaints, but they are not doing so. This constant defence of Karol for example, I have not received a reply.
The whole point of a public forum is to air these grievences not brush them under a carpet....
But yes I have said enough on this forum you are quite right.
All ive had off Grant Thornton is threats over the PPI the only PPI i had was 17 years ago i was fully aware of it initially requested it and cancelled within a year the loan attached to it finished 14yrs ago.
Now considered the 6yr data limit they have zero possibilty of making a PPI claim but keep on insisting it but then do nothing.
They keep promising PPI correspondance but fail every single time to send any paperwork for their PPI attempt so all they doing is extending thier time frame to issue the final paperwork.
GT have shown incompetance of a staggering level yet they can happily get away with and continue to get paid.
PPI for them isnt about getting the best deal for the creditors its about getting the best commision for GT...Shameful....
Time to end of IVA 0 days
Time to end of GT dealing with it...CC recieved after a battle royal !!
Just a general point on PPI and nothing to do with GT.
I cant quite get my head around this PPI claim process and why it should cause so many difficulties for those of us in in an IVA.
So, creditors miss-sold PPI and over charged customers, those in IVA have been told they must make a claim for PPI in order to "give a better return to its creditors", a sum of money is obtained from creditors, put it into an IVA pot only to then share with and give back to the creditors!
I can understand that those in a n IVA maybe shouldn't be permitted to claim and gain from PPI claim back but surely there is an easier way to manage this, e.g. IVA check - not eligible to claim.
I have received the letter this morning, I have sent the PPI pack already which is a waste of time as I know I have no PPI claim. The wording is a bit ambiguous in the letter, it says to allow the closure cert to be issued whilst PPI, VAT and other such issues are ongoing. what I want to know is does this mean that they could rear there head in the future and ask for money from any future assets? This really concerns me as I will be getting married once the cert is issued as he wouldnt whilst the IVA is active just incase he became liable in anyway. He will never marry me if there is a chance he may become liable in anyway. The letter also comes across as GT will be able to claim alot more money from the funds plus receive 15% of any PPI claim. Thats 30% to EIC, 15% to GT and only 55% to our creditors who are supposed to be the ones benefiting. Does anybody know if the alterations will purelly be in regard to PPI and VAT or if they can try and claim more from any future assets? I do not even play the lottery but for example, what if you won after the closure cert is issued, could they claim it?
Catch up! GT just called me back I should not have received the letter as I have already posted the pack back on Friday, apparently a system error as it was showing the pack was never sent out. If the caller was correct closure certs will not be far off if Gt are satisfied you are looking in to PPI. If you have gone with EIC they have the info on file when they received the authorisation letters so things should hopefully move quick ish. Not sure where you stand if you are not with EIC tho. Hopefully soon this will all be over!
I have to agree with 'IVA Victim' but I too have said enough about a certain company. Greed is the reason they have treated us like this. They sniffed a chance to get their hands on even more money from us and have left us in limbo since. I wouldn't mind if I had an honest answer (sorry Karol, I have had that email so many times that I have lost count and I have been promised my CC on seven occasions dating back to October 2011 and yet I still wait for it) or even if I could chat to the IP (who I believe is as fictional as Peter Pan - 'not in the office' for almost two years? Really?) Almost twenty two months since my final payment - there is no excuse for this shoddy service at all. I'll believe it when I see it.
Mark 2.
You have my sympathies and as I have said already on this forum it is not about individuals but the overall concept. It seems others get their CCs when Karol intervenes, regardless of how long they have waited yet others who have waited longer get nothing. How can that be?
