My son may be going to Uni next year, he will still live at home but i just wondered what happens about the fees.
He said that he will get a loan in his name, will our IVA effect him getting this ?.
I don;t really know how the whole Uni thing works & we haven't really looked into this yet though
IT"S OVER 11th NOVEMBER 2014

Hi Picklepants, our son went to uni last year, with me and my wife both in a iva, our son got the uni loan done in his name, even know we had to give our salary details on the form and NI numbers, never had to mentioned about iva he got the loan okay.
Never regret what you done in life, regret what you have not done,
final payment made
NOW THE WAIT

Our daughter went to uni and in 2nd year now living at home, she did get loan for fees and maintenance with no problem. It is hard cos we can't help her out with anything from books to travel and have another one who will be going to uni in september, she will probably have to go away for the right course so not sure how we will cope financially to help her out with basics and even travel for her and us to visit. Will cross that bridge in a month or two, still have a 12 year old who has just gone to comp and needs extra money for meals And bus fare that wasn't needed before! Times are hard

My daughter started uni last September and got her student finance with no problems. In fact we've just reapplied for the coming year 13/14 and already knows what she will be getting. There will be no problem.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
