Having read on here the issues that exist with closing IVAs, has anyone else managed to get the blasted PPI forms from DFD??? My IVA finished last April and I have been chasing them everyday just to get these foms so that the PPI can be investigated and it can be closed. Imogen @ DFD has assured me that the forms will be emailled to me today..... We will see....
Well, today I spoke to Imogen and she said that she would be raising this issue with her team leader and get the paperwork emailed to me urgently. So I waited a few hours than I rang again and spoke to Laura who kindly reminded me that I had already phoned today and requested the paperwork but that it wasn't really in their hands and she didn't want to make promises that 'they' couldn't keep. So I explained my situation to her (again) and she said that she would be raising this with team leader 'Judith' as a matter of urgency. Still I have nothing... but I will be ringing again before they close the doors tonight
One bot of advice........if they are still using EiF chase them every day becuase they were useless with mine!! i was told 12 weeks from signing forms to completion it took months!!
every time i called it was 'well do it today' call the next day @ohh well do it today'!!
IVA completion and certificate received 08/10/2012!!!
Totally echo what Artemischild has said, i completed my PPI pack in November of 2011, the final cheque came in, in November 2012 and that was because i was constantly emailing EIF from July of last year as well as having made a formal complaint to their CE too. Good luck and best wishes x
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.
IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.
I have found EIF to be excellent at customer service and had my emails replied to in a day or 2 and with the correct information and they have got back to me with what I asked for so for me they have been excellent with me.
Hi JRDSG - I agree perservering to get an answer but chasing 3 times in one day may be a bit too much as they will have a number of cases to work on so may not be able to respond as quickly as you want. I would think a call tomorrow would be beter and ask them for a commitment. If they then don't meet it then you chase again.
Good luck anyway, I know how frsutrating it is for you all when you just want to be free and move on.

I received a shirty letter of DFD regarding PPI and how it was my responsibility to chase them up, so to cut a long story short I emailed EiF and was told that they were waiting for a creditors report from DFD which they requested in June 2011.
I get knocked down, but I get up again. They ain't never gonna keep me down.
You don't need to use the firm they prefer to use - you can appoint a claims management company of your own or even claim directly if you want to. Unfortunately complaints about this particular firm seem to be on the increase on this and other forums.
Melanie, i don't know what has happened to this company who once you were able to get hold off on the phone but now you can't, they do not seem to be client friendly anymore but acting in a very maveric way chasing every avenue to gain cash etc regardless of what is written into agreements. I won't be recommending them to anyone that is for sure.
The fact that they are being complained about elsewhere certainly doesn't surprise me and they are going to drive people away from IVA's and into bankruptcy if not careful.

i try and post without being too negative about DFD these days , but the DFD of 2012/2013 is definately a completely company to the DFD that i started with in 2006. Im eternally greatful for them for helping me become debt free, but the new issue they have created re secured loans in lieu of a remortgage is really worrying for current DFD clients. Furthermore , I cant help but thimk that as this becomes more well known in the marketplace, that this will have a detrimental effect on DFDs potential future client base and actual see the number of IVAs they manage start to rapidly decline.
As with other forum members, i cant help but think that DFD are in someway connected with the lender that they are using to offer secured loans in lieu of equity, but unfortunately the forum members who appear to be being forced to take this route have not mentioned the name of the company offering them the loan. yes purely a conspiracy theory on my part, but something seems very wrong about this alarming new practice by DFD

My posting was geared to the claims management company rather than the IP firm. Relationships between IP firms and lenders have to be fully disclosed, so if anyone is in any doubt as to whether a less than arms-length relationship exists then do ask your IP to clarify the situation.
