my iva closed just over two years ago as our creditors accepted a final payment. However i have been recently terrorised by a ppi company representing our iva supervisor insisting we complete ppi forms to give to our creditors... i am stressed by this and our iva supervisor has not responded to my callls
Welcome Sandra, if you have your completion certificate, you are off the insolvency register and your IP has closed your case, you are not liable for any more payments into your IVA. I think this company 'representing your supervisor' is trying it on. If you had available assets, like PPI, during your IVA then your IP, without doubt, would have contacted you.

we made our final payment and i have just found a letter from our IP stating our final payment was accepted by the creditors and our closure certificate would follow, this was dated may 2011, still not recieved and the IP wont reply... tking of takin legal action, hopefully it could help others who find themselves totally stressed who are in our situation
Sandra, I'm afraid if you have not received you CC, then this company may well have been contacted by your IP. I'm not sure if legal action will help. There are posters on this forum who have waited for their CC, just like you, for an obscene amount of time.

two years is a long time and im fully aware there are people who have waited for their closure as long if not longer, but tk its time Companies like Grant Thornton were held to account for the long delays. Ive completed 6 full years of my iva, have it in black and white that my iva is closed and that cert will follow and intend to get legal advice on what can be done about the situation. will let u know what happens, seeing a solicitor next week who agrees ive waited too long.....
The best advice I can give is; first contact your IP and check that this firm is working with them and that the fees will be borne by them. Then, assuming all is in order, co-operate.
Not to do so will merely delay the issue of your certificate. Hopefully yours is one of the firms issuing certificates pending PPI claims, so it wil not be unduly delayed.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

My IP wont reply to my calls.... have explained to their ppi department who told me they would ensure the ip contacted me but still waiting........... and they didnt listen to my request not to send any ppi documents until i got clarification from the ip... think my ip who were a professional company have grown too big and no-one knows who is doing what
Reading between the lines Sandra, it seems this company has been contacted by your IP. Probably the most logical thing to do is to comply with this PPI company's advances, let them do what they have to do, wait for the mass variation from GT, get your CC and put all of this behind you.
Failure to comply, will defer your CC even longer. Also, depending on the conditions, failure to comply, can in some circumstances, fail your IVA. Even atthis late, late stage.

iva not with Grant Thornton used them as an example as ive read the stories of other peoples situations. ip is in scotland, will see what solicitor says next week and then will go on their instructions.. will let u know outcome
Yes, Sandra, I am sure many would be very interested in what advice the solicitors give and will look forward to future posts on the subject. You are right in that, as long as these practices aren't chanllenged, they will go on. Best of luck to you
