Hi Foggy,
Sadly the woman who rang me said the PPI issue has to be resolved before the case can be closed so knowing my luck this will probably not happen until my case is eventually closed (but I'm starting to doubt that this will ever happen)
I knew it sounded too easy :/

That's as things stand today -- as we know, tomorrow is a different day with different rules !

Hopefully they will put forward a mass variation and things WILL change -- or they might simply follow the regulators guidance on this, which is due to be published shortly, we are told.

Just to update - received more forms last week to sign re:PPI. Strange thing was - there were 6 forms which named my 6 ceditors and a form which named Avon Cosmetics as a creditor - I have ever had any dealings with Avon CCosmetics and they are certainly not a creditor so I refused to sign that one and sent a letter back to say this. It really makes me wonder - are the IVA firms trying it on by naming 'fake creditors'?
I knew it sounded too easy :/

Hi footy mad, strange you should say that i also got forms to complete for people like the co-op, i'd never had any credit with them so didn't sign and wrote right across it no credit with this company, lo and behold i got a letter from the co-op some months later stating that i'd never had an account with them so they'd not honoured my claim, no surprises to me there i already knew that but just goes to show, the forms had still been sent even though i hadn't signed and struck through them with a big black pen, saying no account!

Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Thanks for that. At least I know its not just happening to me. Do the companies contact you themselves or do they contact the IVA providers to discuss the claims? I'm now of the opinion that this whole thing is going to drag on for another year at least. Considering my final payment was July 2011 the closure process could well be as long as the IVA! :(

FINALLY!!!!
7 years and 9 days after I first started my IVA, I have received my completion certificate :) Also a questionnaire asking how I found the experience. Must say it hasnt been as easy and straightforward as I was lead to believe in the beginning, but at least its over now :)

It was a long wait for you but now you can put it all behind you and enjoy your new debt free life
