Good common sense answer from Karol as ever - this is certainly not a matter to report to the OFT or the financial ombudsman so please heed good professional advice and let this matter be sorted out through usual channels.

Hi all,
Just to update you. Got email from GT Wed to say they would email me the figures they have on record for Oct 09 to Oct 10 which is when the increase was requested. I have gone through my bank account and the figure the woman initially gave as being on file for tax credit is £90 pound higher per month than actual figure. Also wages are £20 a month out!
Today I got further email from GT to say they have no figures on record for this period as it was in the hands of BE then. So how come last week they had the figures?
Where do I go now?? Wil this ever get sorted. I've emailled back to ask what happens now but no reply as yet. Can anyone help or am I destined to be stuck in a hole forever.
I knew it sounded too easy :/

Hi and welcome footymadbird, i would as others have suggested gather all your evidence and then send it recorded delivery to your current IP with a covering note, from your last post there appears to be a discrepancy so i would also address that, good luck and fingers crossed that this is because of mis-communication and it stands as you had been led to believe.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

You should be able to sort this with the evidence you hold (either bank statements or wage slips etc). If you can scan them onto your computer I would do that and email them, copying Karol into the email.

It may seem that you are getting nowhere but please keep providing the evidence, no IP can argue with evidence.

I've had a statement from GT which I have checked over and amended a couple of figures and returned to them (recorded delivery) along with bank statements for the period in question showing income.
Fingers crossed this will get sorted soon

Hi everyone,
Finally some good news! :) Had an email today from Claire at GT to say having reviewed the figures for the period Oct 09 to Oct 10 they have agreed that an increase in contributions would not have been requested. they are now in the process of amending my file to ensure the arrears currently showing are removed and my case was passed to the closure department this afternoon yto begin the final administration.
Many thanks to Claire @ GT and to all on here for your support and advice :)

Hi All,
So much for the promises that by February I would be receiving my closure certificate! Ive just had a call to say that I have to now fill some forms in to see if any PPI can be reclaimed. I was originally contacted about this in September last year and told I could opt out of this if I wanted as it would delay the closure of my IVA, so therefore I opted out. Now, 6 months later I receive a call to say I cant opt out and have been wrongly advised. In fact, I have to fill these forms in and then Grant Thornton will look into the PPI (which I am certain I never had anyway) and, this is the best bit, it could take up to a year to get resolved (and closure). Therefore 32 months after my last payment. This IVA system is a joke. I never missed a payment or a review and just want to get on with my life now.

Will this nightmare never end? :'(
I knew it sounded too easy :/

Hi ... there is a rumour ( just that at the moment) that GT might be taking steps to allow cases to be closed while PPI is still pending --- hopefully this will happen soon.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
